As a member of Stradley Ronon’s Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Rafferty focuses her practice on general litigation, primarily in the area of products liability and mass tort.
Ms. Rafferty’s experience includes:
• preparing for and conducting jury trials, binding ADRs and arbitrations
• preparing fact witnesses and experts for trial testimony
• conducting numerous witness and expert depositions
• drafting trial briefs, motions in limine, motions for reconsideration and pleadings on various legal issues
Most recently, The Legal Intelligencer recognized Ms. Rafferty as one of Pennsylvania’s “Lawyers on the Fast Track.” In 2010, 2008, 2007 and 2006 Super Lawyers – the “ultimate guide to the top lawyers in Pennsylvania” – named Ms. Rafferty a “Rising Star,” an honor received by only 2.5% of Pennsylvania lawyers each year. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state.
Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Ms. Rafferty was a products liability and retail liability associate at another Philadelphia law firm. She also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Joseph F. Battle Jr., past-President Judge of Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
Ms. Rafferty attended Villanova University School of Law, where she authored two articles published in the Pennsylvania Law Weekly. Before attending law school, she worked as a senior business consultant at Arthur Andersen & Company. PERSONAL
Ms. Rafferty is dedicated to her involvement in the community. She currently serves as member of the board of trustees at the Gesu School in Philadelphia and is a member of the school’s Sponsor A Child and EITC Advisors Committee. She also serves on the National Alumni Council of Notre Dame Academy. Ms. Rafferty served on the 2010, 2009 and 2008 “Take the Lead” Committee for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. She also serves as a Class Representative for the Villanova Law Gift Program. Ms. Rafferty served as a member of the Friends Committee for the National Association of Women Judges Conference held in Philadelphia in 2007 and continues to participate in Philadelphia Bar Association programs. |
