Leslie Miller Greenspan is a trial lawyer and litigator who handles both civil and criminal cases. Her work focuses primarily on securities litigation, intellectual property litigation and complex commercial disputes. She also handles products liability and mass tort cases, civil rights litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, white collar investigations and insurance coverage disputes.

Ms. Greenspan has represented a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from individuals and schools to large corporations. She has a full range of experience in federal and state courts and in arbitrations.

Highlights from Ms. Greenspan’s casework include:

  • representing a court-appointed receiver in the recovery of $75 million for defrauded institutional investors following the collapse of a Cayman Islands hedge fund

  • securing a complete defense award for an individual broker before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in a dispute between brokers

  • obtaining a dismissal of a financial institution in a federal court case alleging wrongdoing in connection with a fraudulent loan transaction

In 2010 and 2011, Ms. Greenspan had the pleasure (and challenge) of participating in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office’s Associate Prosecutor Program, where she prosecuted criminal cases involving domestic violence and child abuse. Through this program, she gained invaluable trial experience at both the Municipal Court and Common Pleas levels. She also obtained an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system.

In 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, 2007 and 2006, Super Lawyers® – the “ultimate guide to the top lawyers in Pennsylvania” – named Ms. Greenspan a “Rising Star,” an honor received by only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers each year. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state.

Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Ms. Greenspan served as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida for Magistrate Judge Gary R. Jones, where she researched and interpreted federal and state statutes, prepared judicial opinions and court orders, and advised federal judges on issues before the Court.

PERSONAL

Ms. Greenspan previously interned for the Child Advocate’s Office in Decatur, Ga., where she investigated complaints filed in juvenile court, interviewed children and family members, and presented reports before the court.

She remains committed to pro bono work on behalf of the Child Advocate Support Center, the New Jersey Public Defender’s Office and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania’s Prisoner’s Rights Panel.
