Jeffrey Grossman focuses his practice on complex litigation and regulatory matters, representing for-profit and nonprofit businesses within the fields of insurance, health care and construction. His experience includes engagements in several industries and areas of law, including:

  • Insurance – representation of national and international insurers and reinsurers, as well as receivers and creditors, in insurance rehabilitations and liquidations; complex matters involving coverage, bad faith, underwriting, insolvency and asset recovery; and related regulatory issues involving a myriad of insurance and reinsurance products

  • Health care – representation of health care institutions and providers in various regulatory matters and complex disputes with federal and state agencies, as well as complex, high-stakes breach of contract claims; and representation of health care payors in various commercial and regulatory matters, including managed care, ERISA, provider contracting, managed care liability disputes, and alternative pay structures

  • Construction – representation of general contractors, sub-contractors, developers, fabricators, manufacturers, suppliers, owners and construction professionals in complex claims involving allegations of contract extras, default termination, defective building products, defective workmanship, delayed performance, design errors or omissions, liquidated damages, lost productivity, lost profits and unforeseen site conditions

  • Surety and Fidelity – representing sureties and insurers in complex construction bond, fidelity bond and crime policy claims involving sophisticated coverage, damage recovery, subrogation and indemnity issues

  • Securities – representing national and international financial institutions and investment advisers against claims of fraud, breach of contract, negligence and unsuitability, both in private disputes and in regulatory matters involving state and federal agencies

  • General commercial litigation – representing businesses in various breach of contract, employment, intellectual property, regulatory and other complex disputes

  • Professional liability – representing lawyers, law firms and other parties in claims involving alleged breach of contract and professional negligence 

  • General negligence – representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex personal injury matters involving catastrophic injuries and complex liability issues arising from medical malpractice, construction site accidents, toxic and chemical exposures, and products liability

From 2010 through 2012, Mr. Grossman served as the firm's Hiring Partner, responsible for the recruiting, training and hiring of law school students and graduates. In 2011, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – the “ultimate guide to the top lawyers in Pennsylvania” – named Mr. Grossman a “Rising Star,” an honor received by only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers each year. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state. In 2014 and 2013, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers designated him a “Super Lawyer” in the field of Business Litigation.
