PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon attorneys Steven B. Davis and David T. Garnes were recently selected as 2006 Pennsylvania “Lawyers on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer, a Philadelphia-based daily legal newspaper published by American Lawyer Media-PA.

Davis and Garnes were recognized, along with 43 other Pennsylvania attorneys under the age of 40, as future leaders of the state’s legal community based on their development of the law, commitment to the community and service to the bar. Honorees were selected from reader nominations, with input from a panel of judges.

As co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s insurance practice group, Davis represents insurers, producers and other intermediaries in litigation around the country and provides counsel on regulatory and coverage matters. From 2003 to 2006, he served as Chief Counsel for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. Davis is also the firm’s pro bono program coordinator and routinely engages in legal representations for indigent people in the Philadelphia community.

As an associate in the firm’s litigation department, Garnes concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, business torts and securities litigation. Most recently, Garnes was appointed president of The Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to the professional support and advancement of African-American attorneys and legal professionals. He also volunteers his time providing pro bono legal assistance to disadvantaged Pennsylvanians through the Volunteers for the Indigent Program and is an active member of numerous other civic organizations.
