| March 16, 2007 PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon partner Andrew S. Levine received the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s annual award for Distinguished Service to the Profession at the Environmental Law Forum held in Harrisburg.
Levine and Saul Ewing partner Joel R. Burcat were honored for their commitment to the development and implementation of the Environmental, Mineral & Natural Resources Law Section’s pro bono program. Levine served as the program’s first coordinator from 1999-2006 and continues to play an integral role in the program’s success.
As chair of the firm’s environmental practice group, Levine handles a variety of environmental regulatory, enforcement and litigation matters. He coordinates Clean Air Act strategies for facilities located in moderate and severe non-attainment areas and defends clients in enforcement matters and citizen suits under RCRA, the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act. In addition, Levine provides extensive counsel on statutory and regulatory developments in the solid waste, water and air programs of several states.
