participant Jonisha from Bluford PAL.
Stradley Ronon employees participated over the course of three days in the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Philadelphia’s Stradley Ronon 24 Math Challenge – a fun and educational contest where school-age children (grades 5-8) competed to solve math problems. More than 200 children took part in this year’s annual event.
The Stradley Ronon 24 Math Challenge asks teams from all Philadelphia PAL centers to add, subtract, multiply and divide their way to the number 24 in the shortest time. The game allows children to improve their math skills while having fun with peers and adult mentors.
The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia helps girls and boys develop self-esteem and ambition through a broad array of educational, athletic and cultural activities in a safe and fun environment. Established in 1947, PAL is a citywide network of 26 centers serving thousands of girls and boys, ages 6-18.
