PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Counsel Joan E. Boros will moderate a panel at the Retirement Income Industry Association’s 2017 Summer Conference on July 17 in Salem, Massachusetts. The panel, “The State of the Retirement Industry: The CTR Wiki in the Value-Chain and Adviser Operations” will address contingent decision making in retirement planning models, how advisers can develop good retirement judgment and trending retirement planning research topics. Speakers include Anand Rao, PWC; Colin Lake, Trutelic; and Jayven Rappa, Trutelic.

Boros, who serves as a long-time member and secretary of RIIA’s board of directors, is an innovative and practical counselor to the various entities creating, advising and offering registered and unregistered retail investment company and fixed and variable insurance products. The focus of her practice on these investment offerings extends to all aspects of the formation or design, qualification, state and federal registration, regulation and compliance of retail investment companies, fixed, index and variable insurance products and related entities such as investment advisers and broker-dealers. Her practice has necessarily expanded to the ramifications of the Department of Labor’s conflict of interest final rule and related exemptions – the “Fiduciary Rule” on these clients.
