City of Philadelphia Abandons Tax-Exempt Audit Response

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Property Assessment (OPA) has changed course with its annual audit requirement of real estate tax-exempt properties. Nonprofit organizations that own real estate tax-exempt properties in Philadelphia are no longer required to annually recertify their exempt status. The OPA’s previously issued audit forms do not need to be returned and no future forms will be issued.
