Jana Landon is founder and chair of Stradley Ronon’s e-discovery team. Her practice focuses on advising lawyers and clients on data security issues and legal, technical and strategic issues regarding electronic discovery and information governance. Jana has litigated insurance, commercial and complex tort matters in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and before arbitration panels.

Jana speaks and writes frequently on data security, e-discovery and information governance best practices. She is an online columnist for The Legal Intelligencer, an active member in the Philadelphia chapter of Women in E-Discovery, and serves as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

  • obtained a significant decision from a federal judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissing a “bad faith” claim brought by insureds
  • tried an insurance action stemming from the denial of insurance benefits for a mental health care treatment in front of the Maryland Department of Insurance, securing a favorable decision for her client
  • represented insurers in Hurricane Sandy property owner actions in the Eastern District of New York and the District of New Jersey, which included coordinating e-data for all pending matters
