Overview

Elizabeth O’Donoghue concentrates her practice in intellectual property matters and related business issues, including assisting companies and individuals in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She assists clients in developing comprehensive and effective intellectual property portfolios including domestic and international trademark, patent and copyright strategies.

Elizabeth has a technical background in anatomy and neuroscience, particularly in the biotech and pharmaceutical space. She has been involved in patent prosecution concentrating on the preparation of patent applications, as well as reports on patentability, infringement and validity. She has been involved in the prosecution, opposition and enforcement of trademarks. She assists clients in the preparation and negotiation of assignment, license and confidentiality agreements and has been involved in a number of Internet-based issues including social networking issues, domain name disputes and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings.
