Kristin McKenna advises investment companies and their advisers on the creation and taxation of investment vehicles, including regulated investment companies, REITs and hedge funds. Kristin regularly counsels her clients on compliance issues under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code and on the taxation of financial products. She also has experience in advising clients on general corporate and partnership tax matters and on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, liquidations and financing transactions.
Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Kristin was an associate focusing on tax, trusts and estates, and business law at another firm.
Before attending law school, Kristin worked as a certified public accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. During law school, Kristin was managing editor of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review, where she authored, “The Sarbanes-Oxley Act: Balancing the Rights of Investors and the Rights of Corporate Officers.”
