John Murphy focuses his practice on the representation of private clients and federal and state agencies in complex litigation and investigations. He served as chair of the firm’s litigation department from 2005 through 2012 and managed more than 70 attorneys in the firm’s seven offices. He is the founding partner and former partner-in-charge of Stradley Ronon’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey, office and recently served as an elected member of the firm’s board of directors.
John’s experience covers a broad range of commercial litigation, including securities, financial services, professional liability, insurance and commercial real estate matters. He has substantial experience defending claims involving surety and fidelity bonds and flood insurance policies in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. John also has extensive experience trying cases in federal and state courts, and before private arbitrators.
John was an editor of the Daily Pennsylvanian during his undergraduate years at the University of Pennsylvania and has contributed articles to the New Jersey Law Journal, The Legal Intelligencer and the Philadelphia Business Journal.
