Overview

Kevin Boyle is a member of Stradley Ronon’s board of directors, management committee and serves as the firm’s financial partner. He chaired the firm’s business department from 2004 to 2012, overseeing and managing more than 60 attorneys across Stradley Ronon’s offices. During that time, the department grew significantly not only in numbers, but also in practice areas, geographic reach and in the overall sophistication and complexity of the matters it handles.

Kevin represents large and small companies, nonprofit and religious organizations, and individuals in business, real estate and banking matters. His practice concentration includes mergers and acquisitions, real estate, corporate financing, public and private bond financing, and nonprofit and insurance-related matters.

  • represented the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in its 60-year long-term lease and management arrangement with StoneMor Partners pertaining to 13 Archdiocesan cemeteries covering approximately 2,375 acres; the overall structure of the matter was, to the best of our knowledge, the first of its kind in the United States and will yield in favor of the Archdiocese more than $89 million over the first 35 years of the arrangement
  • represented the operator of a shipping and transportation company in the acquisition of a 45-acre parcel along the Delaware River in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and currently representing the same owner in conjunction with the possible use of the site as the core parcel for a liquid natural gas export facility
  • part of a team that successfully represented the owner of the former Phoenix Steel site in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, against a third party who filed a lis pendens and initiated litigation claiming to have rights to purchase part of the property
  • represented automobile tire and parts companies in the sale of wholesale, commercial and retail operations and also the sale of a software company focused on the automobile industry
  • currently representing two property owners in multimillion-dollar transfer tax disputes with the applicable taxing authorities
  • represented the owner of a 640,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, in the successful sale of the property
  • represented buyer in the purchase of a 1,000,000-square-foot trophy office building in Philadelphia
  • part of a team that obtained zoning approval through the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to construct a 220-unit low-income residential facility for seniors in Philadelphia
  • represented a wireless technology developer in: (i) granting a worldwide, royalty-bearing technology license to a cell phone manufacturer based in Korea; and (ii) in the acquisition of an equity interest in that manufacturer
  • advised a provider of consulting, outsourcing and investment services in its acquisition of a provider of human resource information, data and solutions
  • represented outdoor advertising companies in the sale of their assets to Fortune 500 companies in two of the largest such transactions in the industry in Pennsylvania
  • counseled a nonprofit organization in the conversion of a former high school into affordable housing for seniors, funded in part by Section 42 Federal Tax Credits
  • represented various nonprofit organizations in conjunction with the merger of nonprofits and the acquisition of the assets of a nonprofit
  • advised for-profit and nonprofit organizations in restructuring and reorganizing their corporate structure and operations

Kevin serves on the advisory board for MANNA, a nonprofit organization that provides nourishing, healthy food to those battling life-threatening illnesses, and on the board of directors of Philadelphia Futures, a nonprofit organization that prepares first-generation-to-college low-income students to enter and succeed in college. Each year Kevin hosts Philadelphia Futures students for a day at Stradley Ronon, providing them with a look into the daily life of a lawyer and the inner workings of a law firm.
