Julia Hughes is responsible for Stradley Ronon’s library functions across eight offices. Her core responsibilities include reference and research (manual and online), negotiation of online contracts and training attorneys and paralegals in applicable online resources.
She is an active participant and frequent lecturer for the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). As a member of AALL, Julia serves on multiple committees within the organization, including the Membership Development Committee, the PLL-SIS Competitive Intelligence Caucus Steering Committing and the PLL Summit Planning Committee.
Julia received her B.S. in library science education from Kutztown University and her M.S. in Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America. She has extensive law firm experience and a strong background in education, training and the implementation of new technologies. Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Julia worked at a 65-attorney law firm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she served as the firm’s only librarian and was responsible for managing library services across five offices.
