What is your interview process for the Summer Program?
We meet many of our summer associate candidates at on-campus interviews during the fall recruiting season. Callback interviews are hosted in our offices with students meeting three to four attorneys. If your law school is not on our on-campus interview list and you would like to be considered for a summer associate position, please apply here.

How are assignments designated?
We do not have a formal rotation system or a free-for-all, “find your own work” system. Stradley Ronon’s summer associates are essentially treated as first-year associates – receiving the same level of work and the same guidance and direction from supervising attorneys. They are given the opportunity to work with a variety of lawyers and in many different practice areas. We provide real assignments for real clients, and try to match each assignment with the summer associate’s practice area interests.

Do you provide mentoring to summer associates?
Members of our hiring committee serve as mentors to our summer associates. Each hiring committee member is matched with a summer associate, with whom they meet regularly to discuss assignments, provide feedback and offer guidance on life at Stradley Ronon. In addition, each summer associate is assigned a host – a junior associate who provides general firm information, as well as insight about associate life at Stradley Ronon.

How are summer associates evaluated?
Stradley Ronon attorneys who oversee summer associates’ work complete written evaluations and also provide informal feedback. Each summer associate’s mentor reviews the evaluations and provides substantive feedback. After the program, the hiring committee meets to review all the evaluations received during the summer, and determines which summer associates will receive full-time offers to join the firm the following fall.
