Stradley Ronon Partner Moderates Judicial Panel at Fidelity and Surety Law Committee MidWinter Meeting

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Samuel J. Arena Jr. served as the moderator for “The Judicial Perspective on Non-standard Coverage Forms and Manuscript Policies” panel at the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee’s 2015 MidWinter Meeting held in New York City. Panelists, Judge William G. Bassler and Magistrate Judge Joseph A. Dickson, discussed their approaches to the interpretation of manuscripted and non-standard policy language, as well as strategies for litigating cases involving policies containing such language. Judge Bassler served for 15 years as a Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and currently serves as an independent arbitrator and mediator with an office in Red Bank, New Jersey. Judge Dickson serves as a Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Arena has concentrated his practice on insurance law and fidelity and surety law for more than 31 years. A leader in Stradley Ronon’s insurance practice group and the chair of the firm’s fidelity and surety practice group, he represents insurance companies in complex insurance coverage, extra-contractual liability, and fidelity and surety matters.
