PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon attorneys Eric M. Hurwitz, Christine M. Debevec and Julie M. Murphy co-presented during the National Business Institute’s teleconference “Complex Commercial Foreclosure Issues – and Remedies.” Their presentation included recent trends and developments, appointing a receiver, possession problems, dealing with guarantors, foreclosing on property that was cross-collateralized, pursuing deficiencies and bankruptcy issues.

Hurwitz is co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s mortgage and lending litigation practice, and focuses his litigation practice on defending financial institutions from claims arising out of nearly every type of consumer and commercial financial product. He has extensive experience defending both single plaintiff and class-action lawsuits against banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, student lenders, credit card companies, auto finance companies, debt collection companies and other financial services institutions.

Debevec litigates a diverse range of actions, with a primary focus on defending claims brought against financial services companies as well as insurers. She has significant experience in defending class actions and multidistrict litigation matters, and has managed a number of complex e-discovery collections and reviews.

Murphy represents clients in the areas of business reorganization, loan restructuring, loan documentation and business law. She represents financial institutions and secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcies, workouts, restructurings, reorganizations and pursuing creditors' rights; as well as remedies and asset recovery through state and federal court litigation.
