Stradley Ronon Partner Speaks at National Business Institute Seminar

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Eric M. Hurwitz presented, “Buying and Selling Bankrupt and Foreclosed-On Properties” as part of the National Business Institute’s seminar, “Troubleshooting Real Estate Transaction Problems” on March 2 in Philadelphia. His presentation covered the functions of automatic stays; the use, sale or lease of real property included in a bankruptcy estate; selling and purchasing methods for distressed properties; distressed property due diligence problems and solutions; and ways to get around title insurance issues.

Hurwitz is co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s mortgage and lending litigation practice, and focuses his litigation practice on defending financial institutions from claims arising out of nearly every type of consumer and commercial financial product. He has extensive experience defending both single plaintiff and class action lawsuits against banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, student lenders, credit card companies, auto finance companies, debt collection companies and other financial services institutions.
