Stradley Ronon Chairman Appointed to United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Board

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Chairman William R. Sasso has been appointed to the board of directors of the regional United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, an organization that works to ensure that resources are collectively used in the most powerful and efficient way to solve the region’s most pressing issues and essentially improve the lives of people in the region.

Sasso has served as chairman of Stradley Ronon’s 200-plus-attorney firm since 1994. Outside of his legal practice, he is widely recognized for his civic accomplishments, including having served as chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, a commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority, and as a trustee of Leo Niessen Jr. Charitable Foundation. He also serves on the board of directors of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, the board of trustees of LaSalle University and was the Governor-appointed chairman of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure and Investment Authority (PENNVEST). Sasso has also received numerous recognitions and awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Legal Intelligencer and recognition as one of the “23 Most Influential Business People in Philadelphia” by the Philadelphia Business Journal – the only lawyer in private practice to be so recognized.
