Karl S. Myers has been appointed to the board of directors of American Red Cross Blood Services for the Penn-Jersey region, which serves all of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the entire state of New Jersey. Myers also serves on the board’s donor recruitment committee. The American Red Cross is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Myers is a courtroom lawyer who has personally argued and briefed numerous precedent-setting cases before the appellate courts of Pennsylvania and other jurisdictions. He has maintained a particular focus on cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme and Commonwealth Courts, including state constitutional challenges, insurance insolvency and regulatory disputes, Right-to-Know Law matters, and procurement and bid-protest cases.
