Stradley Ronon Attorneys Speak at Association of Corporate Counsel Conference

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon attorneys Brian Cocca, Joseph Rossi and Elizabeth O’Donoghue, along with Heraeus Associate General Counsel Kim Jessum, served as panelists for “Removing IP Barriers to Make Money for Your Clients” at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s 8th Annual In-House Counsel Conference on April 19 in Philadelphia. Their presentation focused on options for removing competitor’s IP obstacles in the patent and trademark arena, as well as attacking competitor patents, establishing national and international trademark watches, and protecting against counterfeit goods.

Cocca focuses his practice on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields. He has deep experience in immunology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, formulation chemistry, diagnostic assays and medical devices. He also has specialized knowledge of antibody structure and genetics and recombinant antibody expression.

Rossi focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property matters that relate to the chemical, pharmaceutical and medical arts with particular emphasis in patent preparation and prosecution, international patent portfolio management, patent validity and infringement studies, post-issuance proceedings, client counseling regarding freedom-to-operate studies, and patent litigation.

O’Donoghue concentrates her practice in intellectual property matters and related business issues, including assisting companies and individuals in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She counsels clients on developing comprehensive and effective intellectual property portfolios including domestic and international trademark, patent and copyright strategies.
