Partners Alan Gedrich and Christopher Zimmerman Co-author Chapter in Mutual and Exchange-Traded Funds Treatise

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partners Alan R. Gedrich and Christopher J. Zimmerman co-authored a chapter in the Third Edition of “Mutual Funds and Exchange-Traded Funds Regulation,” published by the Practising Law Institute. The chapter, titled “Liquid Alternative Funds,” provides guidance with regard to the basic operations of SEC-registered alternative funds, and discusses various legal and compliance issues surrounding these types of funds. 

Gedrich represents open and closed-end investment companies, ETFs, registered investment advisors, hedge funds, independent trustees of mutual funds, and investors in private and public funds. His practice also includes mergers and acquisitions of registered investment advisers and change of control transactions, public and private securities offerings, and general corporate work for businesses.

Zimmerman focuses his practice on assisting investment companies, investment advisers and boards on various federal and state securities law matters. His practice includes assisting clients with registration and regulation of new and existing funds, board-related issues, fund restructurings, securities lending issues, soft dollars by investment advisers, and the use of derivatives by investment companies.
