Nicole Kalajian Moderates Panel at Hedge Fund General Counsel and Compliance Officer Summit

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Counsel Nicole M. Kalajian served as a panel moderator at the 11th Annual Corporate Counsel Hedge Fund General Counsel and Compliance Officer Summit on Oct. 5 in New York. Kalajian’s panel, “The Regulators Aren’t the Only Eyes On Your Compliance Program: Successfully Responding to Increased Investor Scrutiny,” discussed what investors look for when evaluating a fund manager’s compliance practices, opportunities for in-house counsel and compliance officers to add value and reduce risk, and how to select and oversee a compliance consultant.

Kalajian represents securities and commodities professionals in a variety of complex regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. She has extensive experience launching and advising various investment vehicles, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, commodity pools, fund of funds and socially responsible investment (SRI) vehicles. Kalajian provides legal and compliance guidance to registered and exempt investment advisers, commodity pool operators (CPOs), commodity trading advisers (CTAs), futures commission merchants (FCMs), introducing brokers (IBs), forex (FX) firms, proprietary trading firms and broker-dealers (BDs).
