PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney Karl S. Myers has been appointed vice chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Appellate Advocacy Committee. Myers will serve in this capacity for the 2018-2019 Bar Association year.
The PBA Appellate Advocacy Committee promotes dialogue and cooperation between lawyers who practice before the state and federal appellate courts and members of the judiciary. The committee works to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of lawyers through focused educational programs, explores methods of improvement and advancement for the appellate process, and will review and make recommendations concerning the rules of procedure that affect the appellate process.
Myers is a leading Pennsylvania appellate lawyer who has argued and briefed dozens of precedent-setting cases before the appellate courts of Pennsylvania and other jurisdictions. He maintains a particular focus on cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme, Commonwealth and Superior Courts, including litigation involving state constitutional challenges, insurance insolvency and regulatory matters, Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law requests, government contracting and bid-protest disputes, complex commercial actions, and many other types of civil cases.
