PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Michael J. Engle has been appointed chair of the firm’s pro bono committee, which focuses on providing legal services to people and community organizations who could otherwise not afford access to legal representation. Under Engle’s leadership, the pro bono committee works to develop, identify and approve projects for firm representation.

Engle, a member of Stradley Ronon’s education practice group, and the chair of the firm’s white-collar defense group and pro bono committee, has more than 15 years of experience in federal criminal cases, complex white-collar defense matters, and internal or parallel investigations on behalf of corporations and other entities. He has represented white-collar defendants in complex, high-stakes federal and state prosecutions and has guided corporations and other organizations through the intricacies of government investigations. Engle has defended individuals and businesses in connection with grand jury subpoenas and in numerous jury trials. In recent years, Engle has developed a niche practice of defending against civil and/or criminal allegations relating to hazing conduct.
