Stradley Ronon Attorney Presents at Chicago Bar Association Futures & Derivatives Law Committee

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney Nicole M. Kalajian served as a panelist for the Chicago Bar Association’s Futures & Derivatives Law Committee on June 7. Kalajian’s panel, “Current Issues Impacting Commodity Pool Operators and Commodity Trading Advisors,” discussed CPO internal controls, the KISS initiative, the swaps AP proficiency exam and trends in enforcement. The panel included co-panelists Ryan Ahlfeld from the National Futures Association, Christopher Bender from Chatham Financial and Ansley Schrimpf from Mayer Brown.

Kalajian represents securities, commodities and cryptocurrency professionals in a variety of complex regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. She has extensive experience launching and advising various investment vehicles, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, cryptocurrency funds, real estate funds, commodity pools, fund of funds and socially responsible investment vehicles. Kalajian provides legal and compliance guidance to registered and exempt investment advisers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors, futures commission merchants, introducing brokers, forex firms, proprietary trading firms and broker-dealers.
