Nicole Kalajian Speaks at the National Regulatory Services’ Fall Compliance Conference

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney Nicole Kalajian served as a panelist at the National Regulatory Services’ Fall Compliance Conference on Oct. 28 and 29. Kalajian spoke on the panel, “Compliance Considerations for Private Funds: Valuation and Distribution,” which provided a review of common problems in conducting asset valuations, as well as a survey of currently applicable rules for distribution of private fund interests and current SEC examination and enforcement priorities. Kalajian also served as a panelist on the session, “Latest on the New Proposed DOL Fiduciary Rule,” which unpacked the proposed rule and discussed how it could change a business with plans and IRA owners.

Kalajian represents securities and commodities professionals in a variety of complex regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. She has extensive experience launching and advising various investment vehicles, such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, commodity pools, fund of funds and socially responsible investment vehicles. Kalajian provides legal and compliance guidance to registered and exempt investment advisers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisers, futures commission merchants, introducing brokers, forex firms, proprietary trading firms and broker-dealers.
