Patrick Kelly Provides Intellectual Property Best Practices at the Ben Franklin PRIMA Workshop

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Attorney Patrick J. Kelly presented at the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia Regional Integrated Medicine Alliance (PRIMA) workshop on Feb. 11. Kelly presented the workshop, “Patent Strategy and Preparation for Investor Due Diligence,” which provided guidance on processes and strategies to formulate and maintain intellectual property from the launch of a business.

PRIMA is a regional, integrated and virtual public/private partnership focused exclusively on nurturing the region’s biotech/pharma technology ecosystem. Built upon the success of Ben Franklin’s FabNet program, a regional partnership for rapid prototyping and fabrication, PRIMA provides resources and funds for entrepreneurs and startups in the life sciences to create economic impact in the Philadelphia region.

Kelly focuses his practice on intellectual property matters within the life sciences industry. He has experience serving as an advisor to pharmaceutical, biotech and scientific instrumentation companies in all aspects of patent law, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, formulating and maintaining biotech intellectual property estates, due diligence, freedom-to-operate studies and licensing. Kelly has also represented pharmaceutical companies in intellectual property litigation matters, including patent infringement and abbreviated new drug applications.
