PHILADELPHIA – Karl S. Myers, chair of Stradley Ronon’s appellate group, moderated a Pennsylvania Bar Institute CLE on Jan. 26. The program, entitled “Administrative Hearings During the Pandemic (and After it’s Over),” featured four Administrative Law Judges from the Pennsylvania Department of State, Department of Insurance, Public Utility Commission, and Liquor Control Board. The course provided practitioners with lessons, strategies and advice to improve their advocacy for clients in administrative hearings, with a special focus on best practices for advocacy in virtual proceedings during the pandemic.

Myers is a leading Pennsylvania appellate lawyer who has argued and briefed dozens of precedent-setting cases before the appellate courts of Pennsylvania and other jurisdictions. He maintains a particular focus on cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme, Commonwealth and Superior Courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, including appeals involving state constitutional challenges, state agency decisions, insurance insolvency and regulatory matters, Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law requests, government contracting and bid-protest disputes, complex commercial actions, and many other types of civil cases.
