Adam Petitt Discusses Payor-Provider Litigation at the ACI Managed Care Disputes and Litigation Conference

PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon Partner Adam J. Petitt served as a panelist at the American Conference Institute (ACI) Managed Care Disputes and Litigation Conference on June 10. The panel, “Payor-Provider Litigation Landscape: Managing Disputes Involving Contracted and Non-Par Providers,” examined notable provider-payor disputes, including COVID-19 health care fraud recovery by health insurance payors and enforcement by the Department of Justice, ERISA and quasi-contract disputes between payors and out-of-network providers, out-of-network arbitration under the No Surprises Act, and trends in billing disputes involving ground and air ambulance.

Petitt is a trial lawyer who counsels corporate and individual clients in complex commercial civil and regulatory matters, white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations and corporate compliance. While his practice cuts across various sectors, including business, insurance, white-collar and education, Petitt possesses particular experience representing carriers, providers, hospitals and health care systems in the health care industry on matters involving ERISA, Medicaid, Medicare, managed care, insurance fraud, False Claims Act and other federal and state fraud and abuse laws, high-stakes reimbursement and network agreement disputes, and provider contracting.
