George Michael Gerstein Presents at Pensions & Investments Defined Contribution West

PHILADELPHIA George Michael Gerstein, co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s fiduciary governance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) groups, served as a panelist at the Pensions & Investments Defined Contribution West conference on Oct 25. Gerstein’s panel “DOL Issues New Guidance for Mitigating Cybersecurity Risk” covered the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration’s cybersecurity guidance, including tips for hiring a service provider, cybersecurity program best practices and online security tips.

Gerstein advises financial institutions and plan sponsors on a broad range of issues related to Title I of ERISA, including fiduciary responsibility and prohibited transaction issues in connection with plan investments and related products. Specifically, he has experience with numerous asset classes and investment products, including foreign exchange, futures and other derivatives, and stable value funds. Gerstein has previous in-house experience at State Street Bank and Trust Company — State Global Markets and at Deutsche Bank — Global Prime Finance division.
