Overview

Mustafa Almusawi advises investment companies, including mutual funds, private funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, and investment advisers. He helps prepare and review registration statements, proxy solicitation materials and other regulatory filings and researches securities and corporate law issues.

Mustafa received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. While attending law school, he served as a legal assistant at the Research Division of the Federal Judicial Center and as a legal intern for the Investment Company Institute. Mustafa was also a member of the summer associate class at Stradley Ronon. In addition, he worked for the House Oversight Committee as a legal intern for the Subcommittee on Economic & Consumer Policy. In that role, he supported Chairman Krishnamoorthi with over 10 congressional investigations. Before law school, Mustafa worked as a legal intern at a law firm representing clients seeking asylum.
