Matthew B. Johnson concentrates his practice on mortgage lending and financial services litigation, with a primary focus on credit and collections law, including the defense of creditors, debt buyers, debt collectors and attorneys in individual and class actions arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and various other local, state and federal laws and regulations. Matthew also advises clients on compliance matters, helping them minimize potential liability while maintaining productivity.
Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Matthew was an associate at another New York area law firm where he was a member of the consumer financial services litigation group. He graduated from University of Minnesota School of Law and earned his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin.
