In the first of a two-part series, partner Joel Corriero shared his insights with Private Equity Law Report on converting private funds into registered funds and the various factors that can influence the timeline for effecting the conversion.

“Although it is not really common yet, fund conversions have really picked up over the last year,” Joel said. “Almost all of my clients with private funds have asked about it, so I would say that we are at the beginning stages of a phenomenon that is likely to become very prevalent.”
