PHILADELPHIA — Stradley Ronon associate Andrew Barron presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) Estate & Elder Law Symposium in a session titled “From Control to Collaboration: The Shift Toward Autonomy and Flexibility in Modern Trust Law” on February 11. The symposium brought together estate planning and elder law professionals to examine emerging developments shaping the future of family wealth planning.
During the interactive discussion, Andrew and his co-presenter, Brittany Cook from AlTi Global, explored changing trends in trust laws and customs, focusing on beneficiary rights. He also examined practical strategies for advising trust creators and beneficiaries, including new approaches now available in Pennsylvania. He focused on how to draft and administer trusts in a way that treats beneficiaries as active participants, not just passive inheritors.
Andrew represents executors, trustees and beneficiaries in all aspects of trust and estate administration, and advises high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and tax planning. He routinely drafts and reviews wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, beneficiary designations, and other essential planning documents.
