Stradley Ronon advised W. Atlee Burpee Co. (Burpee), a national seed and plant company based in Warminster, Pennsylvania, in its acquisition by Central Garden & Pet Inc. (Central). The transaction closed September 30; the value was undisclosed. Central is a consumer goods company in the pet and garden industries. The acquisition is expected to allow for Burpee to leverage Central’s resources and drive long-term growth in the garden market.
