As director of risk and compliance, Carolyn Yen oversees the firm’s professional risk and client data management operations, including new business intake, conflicts and information governance. Leveraging her background in practicing law, Carolyn works closely with firm management in proactively identifying and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Carolyn coordinates the firm’s information governance program, including ensuring compliance with related policies and procedures. She creates and implements strategic plans and objectives to guide operational and systems improvements, including new technologies in support of department initiatives.
Prior to joining the firm, Carolyn was senior vice president of strategy and corporate development at an e-discovery vendor, where she managed the business operations for the cybersecurity and data breach department. She previously led compliance, risk management, conflicts and new business intake initiatives at a Wilmington, Delaware-based law firm. Additionally, she spent more than a decade practicing in the litigation and investigations group at an Am Law 10 firm.
