Stradley Ronon's partner Nicole Ellis and associate Gina Leahey are set to participate on a panel on April 16 during the ACC Greater Philadelphia's 18th Annual In-House Counsel Conference in Philadelphia, PA.
Nicole and Gina's panel, “The Autonomous Legal Dept: Risk, Liability, and Control in AI-Driven Contracting,” will explore how, as corporate legal departments move toward autonomous AI systems for drafting RFPs, scoring vendor responses, and redlining high-volume contracts, the risk shifts from individual human error to systemic "institutional amnesia." This session provides a strategic roadmap for the 2026 AI Governance Audit, establishing the internal controls and "hard-coded" playbooks necessary to ensure automated negotiations remain tethered to the company’s core risk appetite and proprietary standards.
The discussion will also cover governance of AI in RFPs, contract drafting and management, vendor responses, etc. and the transition and oversight of AI tools or agents in inhouse practice.
