NEW YORK — Stradley Ronon partner Jamie Gershkow participated in Practising Law Institute (PLI)’s Understanding Financial Products 2026 program as a panelist in a session focusing on the structure, regulation and compliance of registered funds. The program brought together legal and compliance professionals to examine the structure, regulation and operation of financial products across the registered funds landscape. Jamie’s session gave attendees an overview of registered investment companies, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and closed-end funds, and how they are organized, operated and regulated under the Investment Company Act. The panelists also discussed fund governance, disclosure requirements, valuation and liquidity, and the roles of advisers and service providers within the registered funds ecosystem. In her practice, Jamie counsels investment companies, independent trustees and investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters and the applicability and interpretation of securities law. She regularly advises clients on the formation, registration and ongoing compliance of investment companies, including money market funds and ETFs.
