Jennifer Hillman represents investment companies (including mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds), independent trustees and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance, investment servicing and transactional issues.
Jennifer counsels investment management clients in all aspects of legal representation, including preparing regulatory filings, the development and launch of new funds and share classes, fund restructurings, reorganizations and mergers, proxy solicitations, and regulatory and compliance matters relating to existing funds. She also has experience assisting in the advising of fund boards and their independent directors on issues relating to fiduciary duties and fund governance.
Jennifer previously was an associate counsel in the Office of the General Counsel at The Vanguard Group Inc. Prior to law school, she was an educator with Teach For America working in under-resourced schools in Tennessee.
