PHILADELPHIA — In line with the firm’s ongoing commitment to ensuring equitable access to justice, Stradley Ronon hosted a Pro Bono Fair on September 17 in the firm’s Philadelphia office. The event provided Stradley Ronon lawyers and business professionals with a chance to learn more about the firm’s regional pro bono partners, connect with the organizations, and explore opportunities to collaborate on future pro bono projects that support the communities where we live and work.
Led by co-chairs Michael Engle and Ashley Shapiro, Stradley Ronon’s pro bono committee identifies projects in which the firm can make a substantial impact. Stradley Ronon routinely represents members of underserved populations in a wide variety of matters, including civil rights, employment, property, custody and capital punishment.
Pro bono legal services providers in attendance included representatives from Community Legal Services, Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, Homeless Advocacy Project, Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, Philadelphia VIP, SeniorLAW Center, South Jersey Legal Services, Support Center for Child Advocates and Volunteer UP Legal Clinic.
