NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, D.C. — Stradley Ronon partners Jamie Gershkow and Jesse Kanach served as presenters for a September 10 webinar titled “How Tokenization Is Reshaping Funds: A Director’s Guide.” The event was hosted by the Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF), an independent association for independent directors of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and other registered investment companies. During the discussion, Jamie and Jesse outlined practical frameworks for independent fund directors on the fundamentals of tokenization and considerations related to the oversight of tokenized products, including fund industry applications, special use cases for money market funds and stablecoins, risk management, regulatory and compliance considerations, and legislative developments. Jamie counsels investment companies, independent trustees and investment advisers on regulatory and compliance matters and the applicability and interpretation of securities laws.
