PHILADELPHIA — Stradley Ronon is shaping the future of legal generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) training with its Stradley Labs Legal Gen AI Drivers Certification program, which has been selected as a finalist for the KM&I LexPrize Innovation Award. The award recognizes innovations shaping the future of knowledge management in the legal profession.

“The message from our clients has been clear — they want our counsel in this evolving space,” said Sarah Hirebet, director of knowledge management at Stradley Ronon. “We are grateful to the KM&I advisory board for recognizing our efforts to build a learning standard that supports a responsible path to gen AI transformation in legal practice.”

Developed in partnership with legal technology pioneer vLex, the 13-CLE accredited program provides comprehensive gen AI training for law firm professionals. This summer, Stradley Labs trained an initial cohort of 30 Stradley Ronon lawyers and business professionals, followed by a second cohort this fall. Participants build core competencies through hands-on experimentation, collaboration and gamified exercises, including a capstone hackathon. Learn more about the program.

The LexPrize Innovation Award recognizes projects that improve the user experience in legal practice and business. Finalists are selected based on their practical innovation, execution and potential as a model for change. They will present at the Knowledge Management & Innovation for Legal Conference on October 22-23 in New York City, an annual gathering of knowledge management and innovation leaders from law firms and corporate legal departments, including heads of KM, lawyers, practice group leaders, and managing partners. Conference attendees will vote for the winner.
