PHILADELPHIA — Stradley Ronon partner Jan Folena spoke at the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL) White Collar Practice Seminar on November 13 in Philadelphia. The seminar is the premier gathering for white collar criminal defense lawyers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
During her session, Jan discussed the current enforcement landscape for the recently installed management of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She focused on how the commission’s priorities have evolved and what practitioners and clients can expect as the SEC’s focus shifts under the second Trump Administration.
As co-chair of the firm’s securities and regulatory enforcement practice, Jan advises and represents clients on various matters involving federal securities laws, commodities laws and associated rules and regulations. She previously served as supervisory assistant chief litigation counsel in the SEC’s Enforcement Division, where she was the chief litigation counsel for the SEC’s Asset Management Unit.
