Actively engaged in all aspects of his clients’ investigative processes, John Carty has handled matters in every stage of litigation — from emergency response through trial and/or alternative dispute resolution.
John concentrates his practice on complex litigation matters, particularly those involving commercial disputes and catastrophic personal injury claims. His experience also extends to product liability claims, construction defect matters, insurance coverage disputes and general liability litigation cases. He has counseled companies and professionals across a variety of industries, including consumer and commercial product manufacturers, construction, hospitality, insurance, and governmental transportation and maritime agencies.
Before joining Stradley Ronon, John was a litigation associate at a Philadelphia law firm. After completing law school, he served as a clerk for Judge Nan Famular in the New Jersey Superior Court, Camden County Vicinage, Chancery and General Equity Division. His duties included handling cases involving residential and commercial mortgage foreclosures, contract disputes, probate litigation and petitions for equitable relief.
At Temple University Beasley School of Law, John received high marks in the school’s renowned Trial Advocacy Program. He was also awarded the Louis C. Portella Memorial Scholarship Award from the Camden County Bar Foundation in recognition of his outstanding academic and community achievements.
Prior to law school, John served as vice president of the Haines Barnard Pre-Legal Society at Ursinus College and was captain of the university’s football team.
