Katie Gallop is a member of the firm’s investment management practice and focuses her practice on counseling investment companies — including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and private funds — and fund boards on a wide array of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters.
Katie counsels investment management clients in all aspects of regulatory matters, including drafting and reviewing registration statements and other filings, researching various securities law issues, and preparing board materials. She has also assisted with reviewing and drafting applications for ETF share class exemptive relief.
At American University Washington College of Law, Katie served as senior note and comment editor for the Administrative Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant in the Legal Rhetoric department. During her time in law school, she gained firsthand experience with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission while interning within the Enforcement Division’s Office of the Whistleblower.
Prior to attending law school, Katie worked for a public health policy nonprofit.
