Christopher C. Scarpa served as a panelist at the Investment Company Institute’s 2019 Tax and Accounting Conference on Sept. 24 in Marco Island, Florida. The panel, “Fund Merger and Liquidation Tax Issues,” discussed mutual fund and exchange-traded fund merger and liquidation tax requirements and issues.
Scarpa focuses his practice on the taxation of pooled investment vehicles, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, hedge funds, real estate mortgage investment conduits and other investment-related vehicles. He frequently advises investment companies on compliance with the requirements under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code.
