PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that attorney
Robert L. Ransom joined the firm as an associate in the Philadelphia office.

“Robert is an accomplished and respected real estate practitioner, and we are excited to welcome him to our team,” said Christopher W. Rosenbleeth, partner and chair of the firm’s real estate practice. “With real estate activity and transactions on the rise following last year’s market volatility, it was the perfect time to bring on Robert, and I’m confident his aptitude and talents will only enhance our firm’s capabilities.”

Ransom advises commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use developers in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of real property. He represents landowners and real estate developers in obtaining local and state development permits and approvals for both commercial, industrial and residential projects, such as site plan and subdivision approvals, environmental permitting and overseeing environmental cleanups. His practice also includes representing banks, commercial finance companies and other commercial lenders in commercial loan transactions.

Prior to joining Stradley Ronon, Ransom was an associate at an international law firm, where he advised clients on matters involving environmental risk management in connection with the acquisition, development, or financing of contaminated or potentially contaminated real property.

Ransom received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Howard University. While at Howard University, Ransom interned with a midsize real estate development firm that specialized in the development and financing of affordable housing and mixed-use development projects, including projects involving the use of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. During law school, Ransom was selected as an Eagleton Institute of Politics Fellow, which presented him with the opportunity to complete an internship with the New Jersey Housing Mortgage and Finance Agency. Following law school, Ransom served as a law clerk for the Hon. Jerome B. Simandle of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Hon. Michael J. Blee of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
