Andrew K. Stutzman is a Philadelphia trial lawyer who chairs the firm's Mortgage and Lending Litigation Practice. Mr. Stutzman’s team resolves consumer disputes with financial products, including residential mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, short-term loans, secured or unsecured credit, insurance, and other financial or debt products, that may arise from origination, servicing, reporting, collection, repurchase, bankruptcy and other activity. The team also assists commercial lenders in claims that may involve defaults, confessed judgments, collections, execution and loan workouts, insolvency and receivership issues, and other asset recovery or protection. Further matters may involve financial institution contractual disputes, professional liability claims, and regulatory banking and enforcement issues.
Mr. Stutzman also is frequently invited to discuss finance litigation topics, and has been privileged to appear at events of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Risk Management Association, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the National Constitution Center, A.S. Pratt & Sons, the American Conference Institute, Strafford Publications, the National Business Institute, Rossdale CLE, and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He has co-hosted the annual National Forum on Residential Mortgage Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement of the American Conference Institute, served as a commentator on finance litigation for Expert Commentaries of LexisNexis, published works on financial matters, appeared at the bi-annual Housing Forum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and developed legislation on mortgage issues. Mr. Stutzman studies at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®, and serves as a Director of the Philadelphia Parking Authority by nomination of the Governor of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Stutzman received his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, in commerce and engineering sciences from Drexel University. Before law school, Mr. Stutzman worked as an industrial engineer. |
