PHILADELPHIA – Stradley Ronon is pleased to announce that Attorney Shawn A. Hendricks, an associate in the firm’s investment management group, has been named to the Lawyers of Color's Annual 2022 “Hot List.” Hendricks, an editorial selection by Lawyers of Color, was chosen for his noteworthy accomplishments and involvement in diversity initiatives. The publication recognizes early- to mid-career attorneys excelling in the legal profession.
Hendricks focuses his practice on counseling investment companies (including mutual funds, closed-end funds, and exchange-traded funds), private funds, and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues. He provides analysis for investment management clients in all aspects of legal representation, including preparing regulatory filings; drafting and reviewing registration statements and proxy solicitation materials; researching various securities and corporate law issues; and drafting corporate policies and compliance procedures. He is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee.
A known leader outside the firm, Hendricks serves on the Board of Directors for the African American Museum in Philadelphia, PA. He is also on the advisory board for Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business Build Relationships in Diverse Group Experiences (BRIDGE) program, which is a program and learning community that supports underrepresented students navigate their college experience. Hendricks also recently served on the Executive Committee of Justice Rising Advocates, which is a group of young professionals that fight for justice alongside Community Legal Services (CLS) and educate the legal community on the importance of their work.
